December 19 - Holiday Event

Please join us for our annual Holiday Celebration on Wednesday, December 19, at the office of SheppardMullin, Four Embarcadero Center, 17th Floor, San Francisco.  Networking, food, beverages and fun will start at 5:30 pm.

We will have a raffle including a weekend in Napa.  Raffle tickets are $5.00 per ticket or $20.00 for five tickets.  

We will also have a wine wall where you can purchase a great bottle of wine for $20.00.

All proceeds from the raffle and wine wall will be donated to help the victims of the Camp Fire.

Members $40.00

Parking is available in the building.  BART is accesible from Drumm/Market.  Ferrys arrive at the Ferry Terminal.

NOVEMBER 14, 2018 - CPR AED Training & Certification 

Please join us for a 1.5 hour CPR training for which you will receive a 2-year certification to be presented by Pamela Isom, President/CEO of ICE SAFETY SOLUTIONS. Attendance will be limited to 30 people. 

Light Appetizers and drinks will be served prior to training which will start promptly at 6:15.

Parking is located in the building.

October 10 2018 - Warriors Stadium Tour - REGISTRATION CLOSED

Come join us for a tour of the new Golden State Warriors Stadium in San Francisco where the current NBA Champions will be playing when they start their 2019-20 season.  Mortenson/Clark JV is the GC on the project and will be providing an in depth tour of the project.  The tour will be capped at 50 people and NAWIC members will have a chance to register first before we open it up to non-members so be sure to register quickly as we do expect to hit capacity. Each member may register up to 2 people total.

 No official dinner is set, but please join us for food, drinks and networking after the tour at the Atwater Tavern located at 295 Terry A Francois Blvd.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements will be enforced (work boots/hiking boots, hard hats, safety vests, safety gloves, and safety glasses are required).  Please wear long pants and boots.  If you have your own PPE, please bring it with you.  There will be some PPE available on site, for those who do not have their own.

All those taking the tour will need to sign a visitor release.  Please visit our website:  This will save time at check-in.  However, there will also be copies available the day of the event.

By now you have all received your NAWIC renewal notice with October 1st right around the corner.  With so many new members and guests who have not yet joined, it is a great time to offer a NAWIC 101!  Come and learn the ins and outs of NAWIC and its benefits to you and your employer.  We will cover such topics as its history, structure, benefits, professional and educational opportunities, resources and scholarships just to name a few.    Even the most seasoned members may learn something new.  Of course, we want to make it fun and interactive, so we will be testing your knowledge at the end of the presentation with an opportunity to win prizes.

July 11, 2018 20 New Laws Affecting California Contractors - REGISTRATION CLOSED

Matt will help contractors understand and cope with more than 20 new laws that directly affect contractors in California, which commenced January 1, 2018.  Bills addressed will include AB 1701 that makes general contractors directly liable for unpaid wages and benefits owing to employees of subcontractors of any tier, SB1's providing $56 billion for infrastructure work, "small" business preferences, California as a sanctuary state and posting of payments to general contractors online so subcontractors may enforce prompt payment statutes.

May 9, 2018 - Thirsty Bear Tasting Event - REGISTRATION CLOSED


This month we will be hosting a fun networking event at the Thirsty Bear brewery. Thirsty Bear is the only organic craft brewery in San Francisco and it serves sustainably grown Spanish style cuisine. The event will include a 5 beer tasting flight, heavy appetizers, and if we are lucky, a brief brewery tour. Beverages outside of the beer flight are non-hosted. We hope you can join us to learn a little bit about beer and more about each other!





April 11, 2018 - Ferry Terminal Job Site Tour- REGISTRATION CLOSED, those attending see details below

We are looking forward to seeing you all at the tour tonight.  Please be sure to arrive promptly at 4:30 at the main entrance to the Agriculture Building (facing the Embarcadero) to the south of the Ferry Building.  Due to the size of the group, they are going to split us up into groups with each group being led by a WETA staffer and/or contractor representative.  Upon arrival you will be directed to a particular room where your PPE and tour guides will be waiting.   They may be a little short on PPE, so if you do have your own hard hats and vests, please bring them. 


There is a chance of rain tonight.  The tour will take place rain or shine so be sure to bring your own rain gear.  They will not have any onsite.



March 14: Elevator Pitch Perfect - Speed Networking!

This year for Women In Construction week, the San Francsisco Chapter of NAWIC will be hosting a “speed networking” event. Borrowing the format of speed dating, participants will have the opportunity to spend a couple of minutes connecting with a number of professionals from many cross-sections of the construction industry. Come share our passion, meet new people, and share trade industry information and contacts. Space is limited due to the format of the event. For those who do not make it into the official “speed networking” table, we will be hosting an informal meet and greet session during the event.

There is no registration fee for this event!
