Join Autodesk’s Joan Allen and Patricia Keaney in this informative learning session to uncover how technological disruption is changing the way we build, and creating a new mechanism for leveling the playing field for women. May 9, 2018 - Thirsty Bear Tasting Event - REGISTRATION CLOSED


This month we will be hosting a fun networking event at the Thirsty Bear brewery. Thirsty Bear is the only organic craft brewery in San Francisco and it serves sustainably grown Spanish style cuisine. The event will include a 5 beer tasting flight, heavy appetizers, and if we are lucky, a brief brewery tour. Beverages outside of the beer flight are non-hosted. We hope you can join us to learn a little bit about beer and more about each other!





April 11, 2018 - Ferry Terminal Job Site Tour- REGISTRATION CLOSED, those attending see details below

We are looking forward to seeing you all at the tour tonight.  Please be sure to arrive promptly at 4:30 at the main entrance to the Agriculture Building (facing the Embarcadero) to the south of the Ferry Building.  Due to the size of the group, they are going to split us up into groups with each group being led by a WETA staffer and/or contractor representative.  Upon arrival you will be directed to a particular room where your PPE and tour guides will be waiting.   They may be a little short on PPE, so if you do have your own hard hats and vests, please bring them. 


There is a chance of rain tonight.  The tour will take place rain or shine so be sure to bring your own rain gear.  They will not have any onsite.



March 14: Elevator Pitch Perfect - Speed Networking!

This year for Women In Construction week, the San Francsisco Chapter of NAWIC will be hosting a “speed networking” event. Borrowing the format of speed dating, participants will have the opportunity to spend a couple of minutes connecting with a number of professionals from many cross-sections of the construction industry. Come share our passion, meet new people, and share trade industry information and contacts. Space is limited due to the format of the event. For those who do not make it into the official “speed networking” table, we will be hosting an informal meet and greet session during the event.

There is no registration fee for this event!

State of the Construction Industry - FEBRUARY 14TH






Paint Nite will bring out the inner artist in all of us.  Attendance is limited to “30” people, so please register early.

October 11, 2017: Mentoring Workshop

Please join us for a workshop on mentoring with Charu Sharma.  Charu built a mentoring program for women at Linkedin and founded to help companies mentor their employees, especially women and minorities.  Charu will teach you effective techniques to articulate your goals, increase your self confidence, find a mentor/protege at your company and keep them engaged.  Charu will run a guided mentoring conversation for us, so be sure to bring your appetite for networking.

July 26: Thirsty Bear Brewing Tour and Tasting - TOUR FULL; WALK-INS FOR NETWORKING AND TAPAS WELCOME

We have disabled the registration link because the Tour is full.  If you would like to participate in the networking and tapas portion of the evening, please walk-in and we will register you at the door.


Thirsty Bear is a San Francisco craft brewery making organic, German influenced pilsners, IPAs, stouts, ales, session beers, and barrel aged beers.  We will take a tour of the brewery with its brewers, followed by a hosted beer tasting and light Spanish tapas meal.  No host bar following the tasting.  Space is limited to 24 people, so make sure to sign up in advance!  We look forward to spending an afternoon learning about beer and a local business and socializing with you!
